The panels are wrapped with solid brass channeling for a rich look. The piece is hand soldered and assembled. We use solid brass instead of lead, which wears out over the years. Brass is environmentally friendly, compared to the potential hazards of lead soldered products. Once the shade is assembled then it is dried, cleaned, lacquered, polished, cured and made ready for wiring to UL specifications, and critical inspections.
